Are you missing something?

One year ago today, we decided on our new company name.  We eventually decided on VERVATE after an arduous and technical process of using scrabble tiles whilst eating toast.  The rebrand also meant revising our brand.  Even though I clearly have to hand a wealth of resources for unique photographs in our marketing and online presence, it has taken a lot of work to ensure I streamline and enable consistency in all areas.  My desire is that anyone looking at our company can SEE how good we are without having to spell it out.

Companies are increasingly realising that they need to have a strong and regular visual presence in their marketing.  More and more individuals are approaching us for advice on how to help their business do this.  If you are missing that element in your marketing, or in all honesty not doing it very well, then there is a gap which is central to your marketing.

Be individual and be remembered!

An infographic by Wyzowl mentions studies that show people remember only 10% of what they hear and 20% of what they read.  However, they remember a staggeringly higher 80% of what they see and do. 

Use the right image

A fascinating study using eye tracking technology by The Nielsen Norman Group found that:

Users pay close attention to photos and other images that contain relevant information but ignore fluffy pictures used to “jazz up” Web pages.

Don’t let your company be left behind in a dark corner.  Images make a powerful difference.
